PDP #291: Billings, From Above

The third stop on our recent transcontinental journey was Billings, Montana, a most absolutely welcome outpost of civilization in the otherwise very thinly-populated expanses of eastern Montana - so thinly, in fact, that we came uncomfortably close to running out of gas there. Though it's a small city, barely a hundred thousand from the latest estimates, it seems bigger than that. This view is toward the northwest.

The elevated structure in the center is Skypoint, some kind of weird metal tent thing built in 2002 as part of a project to revitalize downtown. It is an interesting idea.
